RANKING
Everyone has the possibility to get a bib or participate in all of the races through the website of the event. In other words: All GTNS Races are open to everyone. Please respect the registration rules for each event.
BACK TO THE RACES
The GTNS races for SLO/CRO/HUN are:
-Salomon Visegrád Trail (HUN)
-Kočevsko Outdoor Festival hosted by I Feel Slovenia (SLO)
-Salomon Žumberak Trail (CRO)
-Ribn’ca Trail (SLO) - The GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN FINAL
IT IS EACH INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE’S RESPONSIBILITY TO RESPECT THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF EACH RACE.
RANKING POINTS BREAKDOWN – 1st to 30th :
The allocation of points is based on the official results list of the event.
Runners must participate in at least 2 out of 3 qualifying races. The first 30 runners can get points. The overall ranking will take into account each runner’s 2 best results from qualifying races plus the result of the national final (Ribn’ca Trail).
The national final is mandatory to get a ranking and qualify for the GTNS Grand Final (place TBD), and the national final points are double.
The GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN top 2 men and women in the overall ranking will receive tickets* for the GTNS Grand Final:
Also the best U23* runner male and women in the overall ranking will receive tickets for the Grand Final.
In the event there is a tie:
1- The best place on one of the GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN 2024 qualifying race
2- The second best place on one of the GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN 2024 qualifying
3- The third best place on one of the GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN 2024 qualifying
This Grand Final will gather all the different GTNS. If a runner did not reach the top 2 or top 1 U23 in the national final to receive an invitation to the GTNS Grand Final, he/she can still go at his/her own expense.
In the event of injury and the inability to compete before the competition, the runner who would have won a ticket for the GTNS Grand Final, or for the GTC, will not receive any compensation and will lose his/her ticket and will not receive travel expenses.
There is only one category per gender overall male and overall female. Every runner is treated equally, has to meet the same requirements and needs to run the same distance.
The GTNS respects
parity and requires that the races give the same prize money to men and women.
The prize money is paid by the Golden Trail National Series. The format is
planned in such a way that every athlete in Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary has the opportunity
to compete in one race in his/her country and thus qualify for the finals of
the Golden Trail National Series. This avoids long travel distances, reduces
the ecological footprint and respects the sustainability aspect of the Golden
Trail Series.

Each qualifying race of the season give the following prize money for the top 3 men and women.

OVERAL RANKING CATEGORY M&W
The prize giving ceremony of all GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN series will be held in Ribnica, at the end of Ribn’ca Trail. The first 3 men and women in the overall ranking of GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN will be awarded with champagne and cash prizes in the amount of

3rd 200€
The first 3 men and women from the GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN overall ranking will receive their tickets* to participate in the GTNS Grand Final in TBD.
The reward for
these athletes is to participate in the GTNS final = One week all expenses
paid
The ranking of
the GTNS teams at the final will be done with the best Elite athlete
M&W + the best athlete in the Under23 category M&W.
At the final, the
Top2 M&W + The Top1 U23 M&W will get a Golden Ticket* for the GTWS
2025.
*Ticket: [race bib]+ [accommodation & meals for 8 days]+ [transport in the maximum sum specified up to €600 from Europe]. Financial support will be provided to cover transport costs.
The first 2 men and women from the GTNS SLO/CRO/HUN overall ranking / the winner men / women in the U23 category (after the national final at Ribn’ca Trail) will receive their ticket* to parcitipate in the GTNS Grand Final. Therefore, they will receive financial support for transport and accommodation.
*Ticket (race bib) + (accommodation) + (transport in the maximum sum specified up to €600 from Europe to Europe and up to €1.200 from other continent.)
*U23 definition:
U23 = Athletes that have less than 23 years of age until 31.12.2024.
Meaning athletes born until 31.12.2001 can participate in the U23 category.
Any competitor expressly waives the right to the image during the GOLDEN TRAIL NATIONAL SERIES 2024, as he/she renounces all recourse against the organizer and the authorized partners for the use made of his/her image.
