ALOÑAKO IGOERA
Aloñako Igoera is more than a mountain race. It is the community of Aloña (the native village of Malen Osa) sharing their passion of nature combine with mountain racing. The race starts at the rural town of Oñati, an iconic point at the base of Aratz Aizkorri Natural Park. This 22,6 km circular race and 1800m elevation gain with a mix of steep uphill’s like at the start to Aloña, some ridges with the Buetraitz, Akaitz, Arriurdin summits reaching Artzanburu (1368m) as top of the race.
Then some grass area with Minas de Katabera and Lizarraga and a downhill in the dense beech forest back to Oñati.
